Tu-Na Quilts: Art with Fabric Blog Hop Starts Monday

Alida, of Tweety Loves Quilting, is hosting the next Art with Fabric hop that starts Monday.

ArtWithFabricButton-Spring2018

I will be posting my project on Wednesday but I thought you might want to catch the other creative fabric art projects before then. Tomorrow I help kick off the Wish Upon a Star blog hop.

What I Learned Today:

  1. There’s no place like home.
  2. That’s also what I said in November when I arrived at my AZ  house.

Question: Do you use materials other than fabric to create art? I have a craft room filled with beads and baubles, yarn and string, hooks and needles, stamp pads and stamps. But the only thing I really use anymore is fabric. According to Tu-Na Helper, I don’t use it fast enough to justify all the fabric that keeps coming into the house. I’m thinking that I need to clean off those other shelves to make room for more….fabric!

Thanks for stopping by and do come again.

Karen, I do use other crafty things – mostly yarn. Haven’t been too active with that lately. This looks like a terrific hop, looking forward to seing your creation!

I have lots of artsy supplies, like beads, yarn, little pieces of cording, scraps…..lots of buttons….oh I need more fabric to go with my supplies! Lol!

I used to do a lot of different crafts, although they were all fiber-based. For 20 years or more I did counted cross stitch. I even stitched samples for a shop in St. Paul. Knitting, crocheting, and embroidery all are represented in my sewing room, including books and patterns. But when the needlework shop closed, I decided to try something else. Since then, for the past 20 years, I’ve been focused on quilting. I keep trying to winnow out the supplies I probably won’t ever use, just to make some space to move around my room!
This should be a fun blog hop. I’m looking forward to seeing the creativity of these bloggers.

    Hi Karen!
Looking forward to your post – as a co-presenter (I’m on Thursday). I have all kinds of craft-type stuff but I try to keep it under control. Fabric is my biggest buggaboo. I just donated my fabric that had children’s themes as there are no young children in my life. I’m also letting loose remnants from completed quilts. They will just remind me of a quilt I’ve finished. Since they are organized in ziplocs, I’m donating those too.
