In addition, some of the members of Partners in Design are donating their own designed patterns.
Please note: To qualify for an entry for the Grand Prize or the segment prizes, please make the blocks using the designer’s pattern. You may embellish and personalize them but your block should still be recognizable as sewn from the given patterns. Substitutions are not counted as an entry.

Let’s Get Started
Gather your fabrics and meet me on March 12th for the first block. I’ll be choosing about 2 yards of background fabrics and 8 fat quarters to begin. Since I’m planning to make some smaller projects rather than a large quilt, I’ll be needing more but then I’ll be letting you know about that at the end of each segment. I’ll be back in a few days to show you what fabrics I have in mind.
What I Learned Today:
- Sometimes even the best laid plans don’t work. I’m referring to my work on our quilt show committee.
- I am not easily discouraged but I am getting tired.
- The year is going by very quickly.
Question: What items do you think of when you think of sewing or quilting? For me, it’s all about the fabric.
Thanks for stopping by and do come again.
Karen, Tu-Na Quilts
Sounds like it should be fun.

I’m curious to see what the group has cooked up for the QAL! When it comes to what items I think of when it comes to sewing or quilting, it’s a close call between fabric and design. It depends on the project. Oh, and the hum of my machine 🙂
